In many ways I resent the PPC search engines for making our jobs harder. At the same time I love it because it means that if you’re willing to put the time into improving your skills and learning from others, you can set yourself apart and win.

The more difficult it gets, the more your hard work and expertise gets exposed. Reminds me of that t-shirt from the 80’s that said “when the going gets tough, the tough get going”.

Unfortunately it means we can’t be lazy anymore and we’ve got to ensure we keep our skills sharp. Not only by doing it, but also by learning from others.

The SpeedPPC monthly training is a great place to start. Hanging out with other PPC marketers and sharing war stories is another way to keep learning. When it comes to PPC, mistakes tend to be expensive. As you’re paying for the traffic, it’s worth being on your game.
